Practical steps to setting up a Long Term Asset Fund (LTAF)
In this session, we are joined by the FCA to discuss the new UK authorised fund regime – the Long Term Asset Fund (or LTAF).
The new UK authorised fund regime aims to make alternative longer-term and illiquid investments, such as infrastructure, available through an authorised fund structure. The LTAF offers a new range of opportunities for professional investors (in particular for defined contribution (DC) pension schemes) and certain retail investors.
The webinar covers:
- a brief recap on the LTAF
- where is the structure useful and what problems it solves
- practical issues with DC
- Q&A with the FCA: expectations for new fund authorisations and the new FCA application form questions
- audience Q&A
